Red Hot Chili Peppers – Tear Lyrics 19 years ago
Another (excellent ) Pepper song about drug abuse and rehab. Read his book. Solitare is a populate rehab game. "Loving every rise and fall" is about Anthony still loving himself despite how many times he's fallen of the wagon.

I don't need to explain any more, listen to it again with addition in mind and you'll see the meaning.

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Dani California Lyrics 19 years ago
I also read a quote of Anthony saying Dani has appeared in 2 previous Chili songs, By the Way and she was the "teenage bride with teh baby inside" from Californication.

He also stated that Dani California was a collage of his past real-life lovers that have influenced his life.
Maybe a parallel of the video containing the homage to bands that have also influenced his musical life?

Nevertheless, a great song on what will surely be the must-get album of the year!!!!

Jack Johnson – Traffic In The Sky Lyrics 20 years ago
I didn't make the connection to 9/11. I thought this was a nice tree-huggin jam. We're building buildings and cement whilst furthering ourselves away from Mother Earth. The "how could we have known", I thought was about somethign becoming extinct.

The whole first verse I interpreted as there's so much airplane traffic in the sky, and below that kids are playing in the concrete jungle they're stuck in, beyond their control, and are drawing waves on eth pavement, longing to be near nature.

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Tearjerker Lyrics 21 years ago
This song is 100% about Cobain. Read Keidis's book Scar Tissue and read for yourself.

When Keidis first met Kurt backstage, he was, oddly enough wearing a dress.

That's only if "I liked your whiskers and I liked the
Dimple in your chin, your pale blue eyes"
and "Left on the floor" isn't enough of a giveaway.

Also, in the book Scar Tissue, there was mention of a concert that included 3 bands... Pearl Jam, Nirvana and the Chilis.. what a concert that woul've been.

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Soul to Squeeze Lyrics 21 years ago
This song definitley ahs do do somewhat with Keidis's heroin addiction. "Where I go I just don't know I might end up somewhere in Mexico. When I find my piece of mind I'm gonna keep for the end of time"

In his book, Scar Tissue, he mentions going to various places in Mexico (also Hawaii) to clear his head and/or go one "one last binge".

That book is a great read. Grab it.
