you all over look the fact that morrissey isnt nesserceryly writing the lyrics from his view point. it could be a gay man in the song.... but whos to say its morrissey. the lyrics give hope of inspiration. i dont think it matters wether you're gay or straight. |

| i dont know if this has been covered but the "i am the son and the heir." is a reference to roxy music in all their albums they had the sun....the air...the moon... or something in them so morrissey decided to use that idea as a homage to roxy music in typical morrissey way n changed it to son and heir.... | |

the song is basically tying in with the album its meant to be him transfering through the album as reflected in the snows/ song names Lycanthropy- is the name for transforming into a wolf in mythology i think the basic idea of this song is about being yourself. doing what you want to. alot of songs are bout such things |
