| Anna Nalick – Breathe (2 A.M.) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I'm sorry but a lot of people are saying things that just dont make sense. I mean how can the whole song be about the same person if it starts off with a "she" and then be a "he". But whatever I agree with the whole abortion idea. Thats what I got I mean I listened to the song a lot of times before I came to the conclusion. It makes sense. I've been to abortion clinics (for a term paper) and when I walked in everyone there just stared at me and I wasn't even pregnant, but since some people don't show during the first couple of months of pregnancy they probably assumed I was, but anyways they stare at you like how can you kill a life and thats what they're there for as well. But I love the part of the song where she says "no one can find the rewind button" because we all know times in our life when we wished we could find one and take back whatever made that day wrong. But its basically saying like someone else mentioned shit happens and you have to learn to deal with it. Because thats life. | |

| Sparkle I think I can answer your question even if it was from 3 yrs ago. Its because we want to know that someone else connects with us. My friends ask me why I love music so much and why am I always quoting lines from movies. It's because its hard sometimes to put our emotions into the proper words. And then a song comes out. And it just says everything we want to say. | |

I love this song so much. This is unfortunately the first I've heard of Bright Eyes. *shys away shamefully* so I don't know about the other songs. But I will definitely check them out. But this songs relates to my relationship with my boyfriend. "These things take forever, I especially am slow But I realized how I need you" Thats like me. My boyfriend tried for a year to get me to go out with him. But I couldn't stand him and he finally won me over and I'm glad he did. "I remember the time you drove all night Just to meet me in the morning" We are also in a long distance relationship. Not really as far as most people cuz we are only 3 hours away but still just knowing he spends 3 hours on the road to come see me whenever he can makes me so happy. "I'm glad I didn't die before I met you Now I don't care, I could go anywhere with you And I'd probably be happy" Again this relates to my life. I mean I got hit by a car when I was 13 and the doctors said I was supposed to die but I didn't. so I'm glad that I didn't die before I met him. And my boyfriend wants to live in Italy (he has family there) when he "finally gets around to proposing" those are his words not mine. Although Italy is a long ways from my family I do feel as though it doesn't matter to me as long as I'm with him. I could be happy. |

| Unwritten Law – Seein' Red Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Okay first off I never heard this song. Or of this band. Also everyone who says they hate bands going mainstream well I love it. Because I don't get to find out about these cool underground bands unless they go mainstream. My friends don't listen to this type of music. In fact they consider me a sellout because I listen to it. They mainly listen to rap and so only when these groups go mainstream do I hear them. Then I'm able to go and listen to their old stuff. So not everyone is a teeny bopper. for some this is the only way that they can get to listen to new things. | |
| Unwritten Law – She Says Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I'm with tru_chickka cuz thats the impression I got. At first I thought it was girlfriend also but then I got the "he's talking to his mom" feeling. Seriously how many of us have felt that we could never leave up to our parents expections. Hence the words "Mother I've tried..." the father I sinned I think he's in a confessional and I think its connected to the last line where he says "I'm done with listening whats wrong with me". He's finally realized that its not him with the problem its HER. How many times have you heard stories like this on the news. I mean look at Eminem. and seriously if your girl annoys you constantly asking where you been then you should dump her. Its the mom. Asking the questions. I don't like who your friends are. I don't like this person and I don't want you going out with them. Thats the feeling I got. | |

I don't think everyone quite gets the song. They say its about waiting for someone to love them but the full lyrics aren't up and in the end he says "No I cant always be waiting waiting on you I cant always be playing playing your fool" So in the end he realizes that as much as he loves this person he can't wait for love to love him back. He says he has had enough. I think we all go through this time where we love someone with all our heart but the seem to show no emotion so at some point we realize that we have to let them go. |

| This song is just so nice. I never would've known about this song if it wasn't for plyrics.com I can't say that I'm there greatest fan because I'm not. But I do like them and I will most definitely listen out for them from now on | |

| Low Millions – Eleanor Lyrics | 21 years ago |

This song is just soo nice. I never would've listened to it if apple wasn't giving it for free on iTunes. Thats why I have it. Now I love it. I especially like when he says "Let me make you dinner one last time Then you'll go your way and I'll go mine" I'm a girl but most break-up songs are just about girls telling guys goodbye but now I'm glad to see guys like Maroon 5, Dashboard Confessional and Low Millions belting out these kind of tunes too |

| Vanessa Carlton – White Houses Lyrics | 21 years ago |

First I would like to say that I don't know what to believe. Some say that Vanessa said it was just made up but then other's say that she said it was based on a time in her life. I don't really know. Also I would like to say that I agree with ehemeronchimera on some parts but i don't agree on other parts. Some people say that Jenny plays a relevant role in this song and others say that Jenny doesn't. Now lets see shall we. We learn about Jenny at this part: "Jenny screams out and it's no pose 'Cause when she dances she goes and goes" My take on things: Vanessa kind of admires Jenny in a way because jenny doesn't seem to care about what people think. Vanessa could perhaps which she were more like Jenny. As girls don't we often time have friends that we wished we could be more like. Remember Vanessa said "I'm so excited I haven't spoken." She has that nervous excitement the kind when we are meeting people for the first time showing that she was nervous around these new friends that she just started making. Then we read this part: "And she's so pretty, and she's so sure Maybe I'm more clever than a girl like her" My take on this part: Right here I am starting to sense some resentment. She is obviously talking about jenny because that is the only one of the roomates that we met. When she is talking about "maybe I'm more clever than a girl like her" is the part that I agree on with the most. I think this was offering some insight onto what was going to happen. She is comparing herself to jenny. Now this is my take on this part of the story. Jenny had a crush on this guy (the one Vanessa lost the "big v" to) but he didn't like her. He liked Vanessa (or at least she thought he did cuz in the end she calls it a mistake). Thats what she means by "maybe I'm more clever than her". She couldn't at first wonder why this guy would go for her when Jenny was pretty and had self-confidence. Vanessa concludes that maybe its because she's smart thats why. Now onto the part when she says "Love, or something ignites in my veins And I pray it never fades in white houses" This "or something" I don't think its lust. I think its triumph. She has something that Jenny wants. She for once is better than Jenny at something. obviously she is over her head in Jealousy. Onto the part where she says : "On a cloudy day, it's more common than you think He's my first mistake" This I think means that girls nowadays are losing their Virginity's for the wrong reasons. Then they look back and regret it. They see it all as a mistake. Onto the part that says: "We gave each other up so easily" Girls are like that. If its a fight sometimes we hold onto it for like the longest while. We don't try to mend it. We just give the friend up thinking that they are expendable. At the end she speaks to the guy who is deemed responsible for this break-up and tells him that she forgives him in a way and that he shouldn't blame himself. I don't think he knew that Jenny had a crush on him and then he feels bad for it. She is telling him not to. Well thats my take on White Houses. I must say that I am not much of a Vanessa fan. More of an Avril but I really like this song. |
