I miss songs like this. Its pure amazing. Its probably my fave my chem song. It makes me chuckle how other erm how should we put it... "crappy pop" my chem (sorry MCR) songs like Black Parade have 400 and whatever comments. Guess it goes to show you what kind fans they now have. My Chem used to be emo/post-hardcore (pratically the same genre). Now they are some really shit pop/rock hybrid. I wish I could go back to 04 and see them again just before they got huge. I liked the sweet ignorance back then and now i would saviour the beauty of the times with new pride. |

This is what I got from the song... He's at a club, he see's a girl, they go to the VIP room or somewhere no one else can go. When it's closed they are making out outside. He's also waiting for his drug dealer who never turns up. So he go to her's and they casual sex. Deciding he'll meet the band the next day, because he is now addiced to sex and drugs. The next moring he has to leave. He finds it hard to leave. He just wants to loose himself in the act. After he's left he thinks about what made him this way in the first place. I think this song is about a girl getting ready to commit suicide by overdosing on all the drugs she can get she's sick of being depended on them. He likes the girl and wants to get to know her, but he wants her to die so it adds to his 1000 souls. So he sells her all these drugs... "She bought the last line. I'm just the worst kind." meaning she bought a line of coke and he sold it to her. "Alright... Give up. Get down. Its just the hardest part of living. She wants. It all to come down this time." meaning she's sick of the way the drugs make her feel like a rollercoaster. "Lost in the prescription she's got something else in mind. Check into the Hotel Bella Muerte." meaning shes gotten all the drugs she can get ahold of and now is going to a hotel to commit suicide. "And for the last night I lie. Could I lie next to you?" hes lieing by saying this is the best thing for her to do and wants to be with her when she dies. "Pull the plug. Personally Im not that big a fan of this song. I love My Chem. No doubt about it. I like the song but its just so poppy. I much much much prefer their older stuff! Our Lady Sorrows, Downing Lessons, Skylines and Turnsails. Their new album is good but it sounds so much mainstream to their last record. This upsets me because theirs all these kids who think my chem are their fave band even though they only know im not okay. They listen to good charlotte and simple plan and think my chem are something like them. They're not. Im pretty sure the majority of those type of people will not like the rest of my chem and will think they are some what of a one hit wonder. They are so much more then that. END RANT! so for the song meaning... the people who have said this is head first for halos i think are right. both songs sound poppy but deal with suicide. this song in my eyes is about how a girl and guy are best friends, they both understand each other and what they are going through. Then the girl gets a boyfriend. The boy gets upset about it, he feels like he's losing his best friend. She keeps asking him if he's okay with it. He tells her he is but inside he's really screaming no im fucking not. He wants her to remember how they used to be. The only ones who understood each other. |

from what i heard about the whole straylight run, brand new, tbs this is how it went... Jesse & john where best friends, jesse was apart of the orginal line up in tbs and john had taught jesse how to play guitar. then john decided to sleep with jesse's girlfriend when jesse found out he got pissed and wrote seventy x 7. in response john wrote theres no i in team. during apart of the song in the background you can hear the lyrics from seventy x 7. eventually they made friends again and everything was forgiven. then later on michelle john's sister was going out with adam. adam cheated on her while on the road. when michelle and john found out john decided to leave the band. he asked shaune to join him in starting they're own band. then got his sister to be in the band aswell. john didn't want adam singing theres no i in team because it is an increadibly personal song to him. jesse got involved and took johns side or the argument. adam got pissed off dislikes john, jesse brand new and straylight run. i think this song is basically about the more recent fued between the bands. |

Gerard said in an interview that on the tcfsr the is a song about what happens in hollywood, sex, drugs, parties ect. I always thought this was the song he was talking about. I always looked at it from the concept album p.o.v. Like the guy has come to kill evil people in Hollywood at a Wedding. The first verse is about how the grooms evil. 'down by the pool he doesnt have many friends as they are face down and bloated snap a shot with the lens' When someone drowns their body becomes extreamly bloated when left in the water for more then 8 days approx. I think that he takes the photos of all his victims. In the second verse its about how evil the bride is. 'Got nasty blisters from the money she spends. She got a life of her own and it shows by the Benz she drives at 90 by the Barbies and Kens' She marrys men then kills them for the money. She buys flash cars and things. This also clarifies it for me that its in hollywood. Barbies and Kens meaning the beautiful people. I also think she takes pictures of her victims. Knowing they are evil he decides to poisons them all. As they die he tells them; "Say goodbye to the vows you take. (as they just got married) Say goodbye to the life you make.
