I just think its about a guy who has no personality like he's really shy and has no life and has a commitment problem so he doesn't get anywere hence the lost in the supermarket thing. people who can't take control of their life get confused and lost with all the stuff in there and all the corners and stuff. he can't shop happily because he see's everyone getting on with their life and the only thing that makes him feel at peace is alcahol. hence i empty a bottle and i feel abit free. no one notices him cause he doesnt stand out hence i wasn't born so much as i fell out. |

i agree that song is awsome...the clash are one of my favorite bands. i just think the song is saying life is short and to many ppl waste it on the save road go out and have fun like becoming a rockstar don't just do the same old job ur dad did and then become retired and old with no life. |
