This is the last song that my ex and I listened to before we stopped talking to each other. We each sang the respective parts oddly enough. So it links a clear visual for me to a specific time and feeling. |

I don't think it's about a hang over. Maybe that's part of it but I think it's more about getting over some girl. maybe a one night stand? "As I trip on the ocean that leads through your eyes / well my eyes can't wait till they finally see through you / when I get this feeling like i'm gonna start I just have to stop" seems like he's hoping to forget it all and move on but his mind keeps going over it an distracting him... and perhaps the "whem my mind's uncertain my body decides" was about his body deciding to do something with a girl even though his mind was uncertian about it. |
