| I'm pretty sure the first line is "Pose with a cigarette just to see who lights it first" | |

| I love the guitar in the background of this song. It's one of those things that makes or breaks the song. At first listen, I hated this song but then I started listening to it just to get to the guitar part (hard to explain, just picking a few mellow notes high on the neck) and eventually the song grew on me. I also really really like the lyrics. Very un ATD-I like, theyr'e so simple and to the point. | |

| "A belly flop proposal of 'let's be friends'" could be in reference to peace talks between whatever parties gone awry. I'm glad I read these posts to put more meaning to the song than just a failed relationship. How boring. | |

I've always hated guessing what i'm about to about songs cause it usually just seems too obvious, but considering the timing of this coming out right before they broke up seems to be something about how they, as a band, aren't going anywhere. He said that they were just going to make the same record over and over again and he was sick of it. "I had the rack ignored in your last implants" Maybe meaning he ignored what he was putting into the effort of the last cd because he just didn't care anymore. "and you cant see this lighthouse cause there's no place to go this siphon drinks the water but it will never grow" It's too easy to think that this is about them being stuck in one place, musically. |

| "No wire coat hangers" is a line in a movie. I think it might be Mommy Dearest but I'm not sure. I just know it's in a scene where a woman goes nuts and starts beating her daughter with the hangers saying "No wire coat hangers" over and over. | |
