This song is based on the final prophesy in Revelations...I could quote, but it's pretty long.
I actually prefer the Guitar Hero II version of this song...it's got better singing, and clearer riffs. The new singing kinda irritates me, but it's just like Metallica...the singer messed up his vocal chords. I still will take old A7X over City of Evil any day...especially Waking the Fallen. |

I personally don't like the NIN song, mainly because I don't like NIN at all. They are waay overrated, just like Slipknot and KSE. So, stop complaining about bands, and comment on this song!

But, however, Metallica is NOT a Christian band. Even though it would be so kickass if they were. Anyway, everyone would obviously know that this song was based on "The 10 Commandments" movie, and they all thought it would be a cool idea to base a song on the Angel of Death. |

This song is amazing! I hope to see them in concert some time. I think this song is about losing somehing that you loved. But that's just me. Nirvana. Awesome song. The first bass song I learned to play. But, this song isn't sold purely because Kurt is dead. Point in case: My friend is 13, and bought all of the early Nirvana CDs, just because he liked the music. He found out Cobain was dead 2 weeks ago. Even though the death looked like a suicide, I have to go with the theory of Courtney Love killing Kurt. That bitch had every reason to (biggest- she's a psychotic lunatic who's a hazard to herself and others) kill him, and I figure she did it. But still, people should accept the fact that he's dead, and never coming back. This is a great song, and to me, says that Nirvana and Kurt Cobain will forever live on with their awesome music. |

This was, like 1/2 step and lefttorot, the very first Metallica song I had heard, or bothered to listen to. I made a CD, when I was 12, at my friend's house, and he kept bugging me, and telling me to put this song on. So I did, and a few weeks later, I finally listened to it. It is by far one of the best songs on Black Album, and I only now realize that it can mean something to anyone. Whatever struggles you can find yourself with, this song is it. A truly kickass song, by a truly godly band. Thank you Metallica. |

This happens to be one of my favorite songs, and by far my favorite solo to play. To me, this song is about being away from something (or someone) you love. Also, my best friend, who's an atheist, starts crying like a baby when he hears this song. It's just a great song. |
