Wow. I really like the Blue & Pinkerton album. But this song is just way too weak. My opinion is that they're sold out. This just sucks if you ask me,

Awesome song!.. I only have this song on a live CD and i love it! when he sings it he changed the words to "I turned and blocked the hallway" instead of "i turned and walked the hallway" and he also says "I swallow the truth to keep from lying" instead of "i swallow my words to keep from lying".. Eddie is truly a genuis for writing all his awesome songs. |

I've read that this is about Eddie's Mother and step dad..but, the one thing i dont get is.."Can't find a better man.." ????...so if the man is so vilolent or what not, why cant she find a better man?

Well correct me if I'm mistaken, but on a website an interviewer reported that this song; Alive, is about when Eddie Vedders dad died when he was 13...his parents were divorced and he had a step dad..but all through his life he thought his step dad was his REAL dad because everyone told him that, but he wasn't..then when he was 13 his mother told him that his real dad had just passed away. Well whatever i read i hope it was true..or maybe not..awesome song! guitar is awesome..and the drums! keep goin' PJ and we'll keep listenin! |
