You are so right, Jadore. I can't believe this song has no more comments. This is one of my favourite songs ever. I can listen to it many times and always find it fascinating. For me, this is about a guy who's being "eaten" by the love he feels for a girl who doesn't seem to know. He realizes his condition, but can't do anything to stop it and will eventually lose his mind and become badly obsessed, that's why I think the melody has this kind of dark tone... |

Maybe this song was made about a hangover, but it makes me create a story quite different for what I perceive. A kid lives in the same neighborhood as the girl he likes. They grew up together and become more than friends but for some reason he has to leave (maybe war)... he's afraid than when he comes back she won't be there, so he's heart craves to go back to her... when he finally comes back he notices that she is different now (she has grown) but he loves her so much... of course that's the thing for me, it' great everybody can give the songs the meaning they want... |
