Or it could be as the title suggests... about the life of being a werewolf. Duh. |

Originally called "Flying Above Everything".
The song is basic and simple. The guy is slowly coming to terms that he's a ghost, and his lover can't (obviously) see him. |

The song could obviously be referencing a couple of books... with similarites to "Fable", it could be talking about the end of Lord of the Flies. The green light indeed is a reference to Jay Gatsby, but what it has to do with LotF or even Pompeii is anyone's guess. |

Tom mentioned this song as being about his friend who's marriage was breaking up. Tom apprently cried about it (Hey, he said it on the Rolling Stone podcast) and then wrote the song. I get a totally different, uplifting vibe from it, but whatev. AvA is bound to kick ass. |

Seems to be Mark's follow up to Stay Together for the Kids... sorta like the next chapter of his story. Good shit. |

just like to point out: THE NAME OF THE SONG IS "STOCKHELM SYNDROME", not "stockholm". Yeesh. No one cares if Muse, or some other band did a song to that title! |

Something tells me blink-182 was watching The Wedding Singer while writing the song "Always", since the chorus is very similar, and the whole song was 80's based. But this should go in the "Always" comments, now shouldn't it?
Anyways, great song by Sandler, since he ain't such a bad musician. At least not as bad as Spanglish. |

Nstemp brought up a good point on NoFX's anti-new-age-punk class. If IS safe, too safe for what it used to be. I do not blame Green Day and blink-182 for the whole sweep though. As I think about it, the shift started back at the millenium when Avril popped into the scene and Spears/Agularia started to dress punky-like. Avril sucked the pop kids in and wa-la: Safety Punks.
On the another note, this song was written for Scott, the original drummer of the band. I heard he's doing well. You might compare him to a Kurt Cobain in the fact he tried suicide a few times and also couldn't handle the celebrity status he ultimatly got. The song is a great mix with a catchy thing of riffs and awesome choice of words for a sort of "Sorry song" to Scott. Hope blink comes back from the "hiatus", but until then, keep rockin to this unknown hit. |

Hear this: If the song was originally named "911", it doesn't exactly point a finger to 9/11. If the song was written before 9/11/01, the guys in Box Car could have made the connection themselves and made a new title as not to offend people. That makes the most sense to me. |

Perfect song about a relationship. Perfect in the sense it sounds so happy, the music that it, and the lyrics are totally emo. It's emo, without the depressing drearyness. Awesome song. |

By blink standards, its a great song. The lyrics are a bit cheesy, but it's a song about love so why wouldn't they be? Of course he doesn't want the girl to leave, who would.
"I haven't been this scared in a long time.."
That right there reminds me of what it's like to ask a girl out; so maybe he never told her yet that he loves her. Just a thought. |
