i do believe rob thomas was talking about how when he's out, he gets paranoid because people look at him and he's not sure if they're like, "hey, that's rob thomas!" or "oh man, it's that lamer from matchbox twenty" and he took that as the basis for the song and went from there.

is it so hard? nervous schoolboy takes partner (make what you will of the gender) to the movies, skips class, discusses what he hates, fantastizes about being on wogan.
franz is not an extremely difficult band, really.
PS - "all the girls i hate" doesn't mean "i hate all the girls", it means that there are girls he hates and he's talking about all of these hated girls.
english isn't THAT difficult, people. i'm american and i still understand it. |
