@letssailaway: I would argue that it's, "I saw sickness, blooming fruit trees." The contrast of sick and healthy makes more sense that the other way. Correction: I think it's. "Where the prayers *run* like weeds along the road." I really like the following verse, "Saw a white dog chase its tail, And a pair of hearts carved into a stone, I saw kindness and an angel, Crying, 'Take me back home, take me back home'." Not too sure of the meaning though. |

This song just played on random. Really liked it though I have heard it before. Totally like the line "You’re finding out you’re selfish because you like your happiness". Think its about childhood and losting your innocence until you can reach happiness again in adulthood. |

| Wow...this song means a lot to me, but I can't explain why. | |
| Jeniferever – Swimming Eyes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| To me this is a song about seeing someone you are attracted to, and you go on to take them to your bed, but in the morning you realize that the things you carry from your life are interefering. | |

Sure! "Flowers that bloom your eyes" - wish I could write like that |

I really like - "the sleep is no longer rest, It's just the hours you die" It's reminds me of when you are really busy and you have no time to do anything so when you sleep your not resting you are just shutting off for a while. |

| I first read the lyrics to this song, I thought it was about two different woman (brave lady and my lady) and the narrator's conflict of interest between the two. However when I heard it, the dramatic violin? melody makes me think its the same woman in two stages, one when he was in lover with her and one now, in that she has changed to be something she isn't. | |

As i make my way through the century As i slowly turn to house dust -That makes me think of growing old, skin cells fall off and create dust over the centuries Somethings wrong i can`t let go, Natures cruel shes laughs at me, Almost too much for my heart, -That makes me think of dying, he/she is dying and can't let go, and nature is making he/she |

Yep, found it while watching Scrubs. I think its about a girl that shows him the attention but won't get close until she really needs him. I do agree about the blue pill though! |

| Joanna Newsom – Sadie Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| If you hear a live version of this song you can hear how sad of a song it is, especially in the voice strain. | |
| Alexi Murdoch – Orange Sky Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I agree, this song is so nice to fall asleep to! | |
| Styrofoam – Couches in Alleys (feat. Ben Gibbard) Lyrics | 21 years ago |

I agree with you about the whipping, I think its actually "and I cased my surroundings" and I think the last part is correct...let me know! As far as the song, I think he is telling someone that he has been in their shoes, and down the road, and it never really took him anywhere he never changes, and the hardest part of the whole thing was going back to what you had before! |

| The Innocence Mission – Tomorrow On The Runway Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Personally I think its about someone leaving a partner in a relationship to reach their goals, "And you're standing in tomorrow on the runway" is the big break, "Oh I want to fly, fly forward into the light" and the person left now realizes he was left and he wants to be a success too! | |
| Joanna Newsom – Cassiopeia Lyrics | 21 years ago |

I think this is almost a lullaby, I know when I can't sleep I "Feel the matress tense beneath me like the muscle of nonsleepy; Feathers flexing will defeat me, and it vexes me completely." But no matter how much I can't sleep you always do. |

| Joanna Newsom – Clam, Crab, Cockle, Cowrie Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| When she says "and you are starry, starry, starry" it almost fits to think of her as saying Sorry sorry sorry...as you see the next lines say shes falling down and she checks a frown. | |
