i think we may have gone to same concert painted doll. in Mass? on August 7th...
well, he messed up that part at the one i went to as well. he skipped straight to "through the roof of your mouth" and drew out the word "needle" for a looong time to compensate.

I've always thought this song was a suicide pact. If you read the lyrics, it seems they both die, and intentionally. it was the girls idea "the strangest twist upon your lips" is her suggesting it. And once you get into the 3rd verse "it's lower now and slower now...but i don't see and i don't feel" he's dying. and since the last thing he sees is her smile he dies first. OR i could be wrong, and it could be him commiting suicide over someone he loved who died. both seem possible to me. |
