This song was played at my Uncle's funeral a couple of days ago. He grew up as a massive Slade fan and this song was absolutely perfect for the occasion. He is now unfortunately far, far away but the call of home will always be as loud.

this song rocks sweet ass, and i agree with the 'living well and dressed to kill, but she looks like hell to me' line. i bought this album off a kind-of-distant-friend for £2.50 cos they bought it years ago and now like R&B lol! their loss, because i love it, particularly this song, deadbeat holiday and castaway. |

amr1319, I like alot of the points you make, and I too believe that he has cheated on his girlfriend, because of the line 'It's to dying in anothers arms, and why I had to try it.'. This is possibly the sole most amazing, beautiful song ever written, and I play it over and over again, nearly every day. The feeling of being together with somebody, yet at the same time so empty and alone is one that I can strongly relate to, and I congratulate SoCo on the absolute power and raw emotion behind the lyrics and music of this song. Doesn't every single one of us have our own 'Cavanaugh Park' somewhere in the world? The park is Andrew's link to his entire life, from early childhood up to the present day, the park has always been there, whether he was a small child with his dad, hanging with his mates in his school days, and reflecting on his own in later life.
