this song IS about vampires, and specifically dracula. in the novel, he stows himself on a small sailboat to reach england from transylvania. while on the open sea, he kills the crew one by one night after night, then finally kills the captain and lashes him to the helm with a crucifix. the ship lands "without a captain, without a crew" and dracula escapes in the form of a wolf. awesome song. |
