This Song actually means quite a fair bit in my interpretation...basically he's explaining...I'm explaining...that he's made mistakes in the past...but no matter what she won't be able to understand...they're too deep to revisit, too deep to dig back up...just try and understand the outercoating before delving deeper inside...definately one of Mr. Kiedis's deeper lyrics :D and my favourite off the album |

Yet another song that people complain about ripping off other artists...I'm sorry to burst your bubble people but Zeppelin just did it...but then...so did a lot of bands back then...it was just that Zeppelin did it so much better...and were definately remembered for it...and look how many bands and artists use backing tracks from other old songs nowadays...people don't moan now though do they?...Personally a great song and I really like it...its just overshadowed by Kashmir (which I'm certain is an original) anyway...great song love the drumming on the Peter/Gabriel Horn bit...:D |

after starting to read these reviews i think i've finally got what the whole of wish you were here was on about I THINK that is not sure, the main theme is syd barret (leg end) umm the record label seemed to 4get about barret once he left apart from his couple of albums and then just got on with it, in other words if ure not making money then i'll leave ya sorta thing, its also about how record labels seem to control the band like when floyd first signed to EMi they had to get rid of their then manager cos EMi had a policy where they use only their own staff. |

wow, one of the few reviews taht i haven't seen sum1 make a drug reference to the songs, when this song was released it caused uproar in the media because they instantly assumed 'we don't need no education' was about the school childeren not wanting to go to school, what the floyd actually meant by this was a different education learning by 'cruelty' the shitty teachers 'picking' on certain childeren this point was also made in 'happiest days of their lives' b4 this song on the album. floyd r the greatest eva |
