chinna girl means little girl in tamil and she interjects an "aiyo" a couple of times which means "oh no!" the beginning goes kind of like "roti, chapatti, roti-illanam, enna pillayan? kaasu illanam. kaadai-ki ponalam, kaasu illayan, kaadai-karan patha, kaanu adichalam" which roughly translates to: roti, chapatti (indian breads) there is no roti in the house a boy with no money went to the store without any money the storekeeper saw him and hit him on the face |

The story goes that one night in the coffeeshop where they were performing, Bushwalla busted out all these one-liners, like "Are you in the mood for some dude" and Jason copied then all down and fit them into this nifty little song. | |

| I agree, I feel like misting up whenever i hear this song. Has anyone seen the special on the extended DVDs that talks about this song? It's really quite tragic and touching. This song was written for a friend of Peter's who died of cancer, and if you were to stumble across the documetary on him on the DVD, this song hits you with a more personal meaning. | |
