By the way reading bintangbali's comments i think they're a load of shit. I listen to Cradle, Korn, System, Disturbed ect. i really don't believe in any of that image crap because what matters to me is the music. I don't care is Cradle worshipped the devil or liked fucking animals i'd still fall in love with practically every song purely because of their lyrics. the music helps ALOT but in the long run image might help marketing but you woudln't buy some random CD just becuase it had a picture of a naked woman on the cover eould you? The music is the thing that matters the most. And also i listen to Cradle and i'm not a "goth". I despise the word and i really think there is no such thing. I like this song like hell-Rennald you rock. Some people really are fucked up on this site but anyway i was reading your first comment up at the top and on the last verse of the song (Sibiliant and at last The circus crawled away With another lover in its arms Dancing on Her grave...) You said you were lost. Well I think this last part is about where once she was raised into evil by the circus and felt gulity for it, when the circus finally finished and went away the girl was sort of under the spell of the circus. Like the circus raised her to be evil but when they saw her feel guilty they thought they could take advantage of that so they got her to be like the evil circus but then killed her becuase well it's evil and went away. It's like when the girl was at her most vunerable she got too involved with the circus and liked it too much. She was tricked into liking the circus and killed because in the end the circus was evil but she wanted to be good-well in some way anyway. The circus was sort of laughing at her when it left for being a fool from the start. She was raised evil tricked into liking the circus then killed for wanting to be good by the evil circus. Basically i think it's practically what the circus goes around doing. Like it goes into a town finds a young person, raises he or she to be evil, tricks them into liking the circus, kills them for they wanted to be good and laughs in their face for being such a fool and for being lured into a burial gown (so to speak) and lured into evil. ...THE FUCK????? Can anyone tell me-what is a goth??? Why do people do this? FOR FUCK SAKE it's just music. People like whatever they like and are whatever they are. The type of music you listen to doesn't influence how you have to live. Like if you listen to a "goth" band it doesn't mean you have to be all 'I hate life and i want to die'. Can people just explain to me how can you get people whop are "proper goths" and people who are just "wannabe goths"? And why do people insist on putting KoRn and other bands like Soulfly and Lamb Of God into caterories as well as their fans. People don't have to be in a certain catergory to like a band. KoRn kick ass and i think this song is about how sometimes they are, even though they are ricg, get ripped off sometimes. I notice that nobody has mentioned the other texts where in the video like: "Do you download songs?" and "Did you steal this video". I may be wrong but i think this song is about how bands-not just Korn-are pressured and forced into writing songs and stuff just so they can be downloaded and practically stolen. I also think Korn are angry that-as you will read in the book for volume one of Greatest Hits-that a couple of rip-off versions of their albums were leaked onto the internet well before they were in stores. Therefore they were rushed into completeing those albums so they could be sold in shops before people got hold of cheap-fucked-up version over the internet because Korn would not got any of the profits and neither would the record company. Although it does say that the meaning of Y'all want a single was not of Korns anger for illeagal downloading, it still made them pissed off that there songs were practically being stolen using the internet. it says with this song Jon Davis is able to get into the mood of young people and is able to feel the anger of young people," I believe that young people...are freaking out now because of what is going on with the religious right. They are angry. They are angry about the corporations running the music business. They are angry with the radio business...What Jonathan Davis is able to do is tap into the mood of young people" (Howared Stern). I think this means that today music isn't just music anymore. There is people controlling it and todays artists are now forced into making music and making pointless vidoes all because the corparations want them to. Probably to make more money out of the band. Bands today are basically being taken for everything they're worth by record labels and when the radio business thinks they know what 'the people' want and decide whats worth putting onto the radio even is it the most fucked up crock of shit people have ever heard, it pisses them off. And opiniond of the actual people just don't come into it. I think bands like Korn just get pissed off when they see that their music isn't good enough to be a hit or be number 1 because it's influences young people alot. Basically this song is about how Korn are pissed off with music and radio business for letting corparations control the music that is made by bands and with the music industry for deciding if bands' music is worthy and is good enough for the radio and T.V. I think, Korn think, young people think that it's unfair how music has to be played and made in a certain way for music companies and radio companies to play it otherwise it's just worthless according to some corporations. Summed up-and i quote-it's KoRn "...pureposefully raising their middle finger to the entire corparate anti-hit machine..." i think the reason why KoRn made the song is because the record wanted a single so Korn gave them one. The music was for the fans. The lyrics gave the music business and other corporations something to shout about. And for all the other people people like quiffporn, other bands are forced and pressurised into releasing a new single just as much as KoRn are so don't say horrible things about them just because they disagree with their record label. Finally. what the fuck are you takin' stupidkid48, you are suck a fucker thinkin' that everybody who likes Korn nowadays are just "wanna be goths". | I think this is an excellent song and everybody who posted a comment about the meaning of this song has probably got it right. I agree with them all and i think they're totally right. I particularly like cylent watcher and his/her explanation that mankind doomed itself from the beginning. i can't wait til the end of the world, i hope i'm alive to see it, even it lots of people think i really shouldn't because it's probably gonna hurt. i probably won't be alive to see it or it probably won't happen at all. I think cylent watcher is so right about the fact that there is nothing for mankind to fear but themselves. i don't know if that's the point he/she was trying to get accross because i'm clearly not as educated as he/she is but i REALLY like his/her explaination. I hate this. People patrinizing other people and pretending like they know everthing.Everyone is entitled to their opinion but really Dani said in an interview that "black metal" or what ever you want to call it is just what the band is into and what they like to do. They don't want to be satanists although lots of people think that. And every single band has an image. Nobody can deny that but Cradle's is quite unique and their lyrics are genius. How many people can write like Dani i mean for fuck sake. People like HungerForMore,Tauramehtar,Doomsquad and deep and down really piss me off. I mean come on. Iron maiden obviously deserve most of the credit because they wrote the song but if they thought Cradle were going to fuck it up they wouldn't have let them cover it. Well Maiden did let them and its the best version of this song I have heard so far. It's better purely because both bands are british (and British bands are just the coolest), C.O.F are one of the best bands in the world (being my favourite), It's a new version while maiden's was great for the time being but now it's way old and Cradle's version is just the best. What do you mean "goth" chick vocals in all the songs. In this song liv Kristine Espnaes Krull does the voclas but in all the other songs Cradle do Sarah Jezebel Deva does the back-up vocals.Don't be confused. Cradle want dizzying sexual highs only a girl could give because I think it adds to their lust and desire in their songs. If you read the lyrics that Sarah sings in Cradle Of Filth's songs I think you will see that they are actually fit for her. Like they need a woman in their songs to help the stories or point involved in a particular song. You will notice that in some of Cradle's songs she does have a part she just does the back-up vocals because a womans voice really isn't needed in that particular song. I love Sarah when she sings in thier song's. I think when she sings in "Her Ghost In The Fog" will you find that her voice definitly adds to the point. As for nymphetamine lets look at the ideas: Nymph=Person/faery addicted to sex Nymphett=Sex Amphetamine-A drug maybe an addiction If you go to the back of the lyric book of the album ignore all the porn and you'll see near the top after "The Nymphetaminers" which is bassically who's in the band and what part they play, you'll see "the Nymphetaminions" and in that section you'll see the bames of both woman invovled in the album.Next to Liv Kristine.... you will see "The Nymphette on "Nymphetamine"". So it's obvious that the band made up the word. It's one of my favourite songs (cradle being my favourite band) and I think it's about and addiction to sex and for him it is like a drug.At the beginning it's like shes leaving him.
