Screw0nHead has it exactly right. I dont know how this song can be interpreted as a love song. I think its pretty obvious that it's about how much Brandon hates the popular culture of today, both pop and rap. The chalkboard reference is like saying that songs he hears are digging into his head, like nails running down a chalkboard. He's saying all of the music nowadays is just a phase and he cant wait until the phase is through..."my only consolation is that this could not last forever." Clearly not a love song. |

Koolkris, you sound like an idiot. People can interpret music however they want, and maybe Lewis' intentions were to write a song about a killer/stalker, but they certainly arent "IDIOTS" for thinking its about vampires...both ways fit real well. So calm down. |

I think everyone is looking way too deeply into the actual meaning of 10:24. In my opinion, the reason the girl is screamig is because she realizes time is passing her by and her life is remaining unfulfilled. The lyrics in the song are things that we all want to do, but nobody ever really doe, like "seduce a stranger" and "count your blessings". When she looks at the time, they have to have a time on there, so I guess they just chose 10:24...the point isn't the actual number, but the passage of time without her life becoming more meaningful. |
