*GASPS!* I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU PEOPLE DON'T LIKE THIS SONG!! It's so fun. Everytime I hear this, I picture Plant and Page sitting on stools just having a fun time singing this....idk, maybe I'm crazy, but I love this song.
I had no idea this many people despised this song...what a shame. If there's any Led Zeppelin song you should hate, it's "In the Light" or "In the Evening" I'm not very fond of those songs. |

Yes, I know, Jones is a brilliant songriter. You can definitely tell the difference between what he and Plant wrote and what Plant and Page wrote. Jonesy should have written way more songs :(
Anyways, this song is very confusing. The lyrics which are barely audible beneath the synthesizer and guitar, and the lyrics itself. It's still a great song though. Probably the best.
My favorite line is "Take of the fruit, But guard the seed" It sounds like Jones and Plant are giving our generation some advice??
It's funny how you all have different opinions on what this song is about. Too bad we can't get the remaining Zeppelin to help us...... |

I totally agree with Philadelphia Eagles!! This is definitely hands down Jonesy's best bass performance. He kicks ass, hence my username...This song was kinda controversial for it's time cause of the whole lemon thing..I think it's sexy though!! This song was so similar to, I think it was Willie Dixon??, that they actually gave him a music credit. This song puts a huge grin on my face everytime I hear it and always makes me laugh..hehe..."Squeeze my lemon/Till the juice runs down my leg.."-Don't mind if I do!....jk. I agree with JumpyJack on this. The song is about an annoying, clingy groupie who was always there around the time Led Zeppelin II was in the works. This is Page's least favorite song on the album, probably because he did the backing vocals. Back to JumpyJack's comment, I have no idea why they weren't impressed with the work. I think they're crazy cause It's my favorite song. The bass/guitar riff kicks ass. I think Page and Plant came up with the music....but whoever did, it's extremely catchy and my fav. to play on bass. |

Hey hey hey!!! I'm a huge Jonesy fan!! There's no way it could have been him. Like someone said before, he's way too respectable.....but then again, they all partied and had tons of drugs and sex...but Jnoesy said he did it quietly, no one ever really knew, not like they'd care for him anyways.
