| Slipknot – Duality Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| The definition of Duality is existence divided equally between opposing attributes. The Key word here iz opposing. If you look through most of the lyrics of the song, you'd see that some of the things Corey sez or oposite of eachother. Like, "I've wished for this, I've bitched at that." "Tell me the reality iz better than the dream" "Put me back together, or seperate the skin from bone." "My future seems like one big past" and my favorite " You cannot kill what you did not create". I'm not surew about this one, but I'll still explain it. "I've gotta say what I've gotta say and then i swear I'll go away but I can't promise you'll enjoy the noise."; i think this partis about having your say to someone who doesn't wanna hear it then leaving, but the person you told wut you had to say this to doesn't enjoy the "noise"(wich i think is a sarcastic replacement for silence, or the noise of himself thinking about what you said) even though the you left him alone cuz now he has time to think bout what you said. To fallendown: Az Corey sed, it's not Slipknot if they don't have the masks. That's why Corey and Jim don't wear their masks in Stone Sour and Joey doesn't wear his mask for Murderdolls. So if they ever perform without the masks PERMENANTLY, you can respectfully say that they're not Slipknot. Okay, I bid you all farewell. ROCK ON ALL MAGGOTS AND GHOUL SCOUTS!!! | |

sry, i missed sumthing. here's a corretion to sumthing in my previous entry that, I didn't think, made sense. But they never stopped playing "their song"' cuz it's like the person (is interested) in ONLY other people (who are) that 'cinematic' and that other person will never be you. The corrections are in parenthases. |

| First off, I'd like to FULLY agree with xMidnightEyesx on the whole lover who's so radiant, cinamatic, etc. thing. I am undergoing a similar experiance, because another person could be so perfect, in your eyes, it could be like someone made her that perfect; perfection that is usually only found in a movie. I like the part of, 'To the lovely dancing lights, I begged, "May I cut in?" But they never stopped playing "their song"' cuz it's like the person in ONLY other people that 'cinematic' and that other person will never be you. It's like, "I begged 'May I cut in?, but they never stopped playing 'their song'" means that the person will continue to "dance" with someone else as long as 'their song' remains the same, but not you. You will never be with that person, as it seems, no matter how much you can ever try, and even if you do end up with her, it'll never quite work out because she will never hold you as highly as you do her. | |

I think this songs about a guy who's girlfriend's trying to change him or is angry at him cuz of his personality(you can't always pcik the dog you find, maybe I wasn't what you had in mind). He's had a change in his feelings for his girlfriend, but doesn't want to hurt her(I'm here and I wonder if I'm lost 'cause I can't seem to understand the way i feel I'm not here to be a creep I'm just feeling incomplete). He makes up an excuse for breaking up with her, though(she says I'm the one she really wants but I'll never be the one the she needs). |

| My Chemical Romance – Helena Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I luv this song, thoguh I can't really say that I knew it was about his grandmother. I was thrown of by the "from every heart you break" and the "incinerate the lives of everyone you knew" and the "We are the very hurt you sold". I really thought it was about a dead lover who died in a car accident, but that's why I failed chemestry. And to Anti Magnet, it iz usually pronounced Helen-a, though it is pronounced Hell-ain-a by Gerard, and helena is a spanish name. In spanish, the 'h' is always silent. It iz pronounced Elen-a. The english for of this name would be Helen or Elen. | |

| AFI – The Leaving Song Pt. 2 Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
This sounds to me like a song about down and out parents who rely on the success of their child for the future too much. So much so that they would deprive it a childood to teach it to be successful at all costs, and no moral values. When the child grows up, it screws the parents over, as it was taught to by the parents. Now the parents regret raising the child to be rich and successful rather than as a good, helpful person. "Look what I've built, it shines so beautifully" Raised the child to be successful but not a good person. "Now watch as it destroys me" The child, as an adult, has ruined the parents with their own teachings. Let's say, getting ahead at someone else's expense. "I saw its birth, I watched it grow" Giving birth, or witnessed the birth, the raising the child. "I felt it change me" They might have expected their offspring to help them with all his or her success as an adult and counted on this too much. "I took the life, I ate it slow" They took their offspring's childhood, then taught it to be successful(perfect) at any cost. "Now it consumes me" They became something in its way, so it ruined them, in some way, using the skills that they taught it. Of course, that's just my opinion. |

| AFI – Silver And Cold Lyrics | 21 years ago |

First off, sensei, chill. Okay, now that we've got that out of the way, there is one particular part of the song that got my attention. "Cold in life's throws, I'll fall asleep for you Cold in life's throws, I only ask you turn away Cold in life's throws, I'll fall asleep for you Cold in life's throws, I only ask you turn" Even though i enjoy Unky Ruly's point of veiw, cuz it makes sense, i think it means somethin else. I don't know what "Cold in life's throws" means, I think that "I'll fall asleep for you" might mean "I'll die for you" and "I only ask you turn away" means that he either doesn't want the person to know, or that he doesn't the person to try and stop him. |
