For weeks before I finally checked the liner notes I always thought she said that life was like a pie, and I was wondering why a penny would be in a pie.
I always took it as a penny rolling in like just a regular old pipe, and it's small compared to the pipe and has no control over what happens, and so feels kind of insignificant? Just my interpretation.
And also, on "you love blow and I love puff", I always thought blow was a reference to a blowjob, mainly since they edit it out in the video version, but not puff. |

Well first of all this song always makes me think of the winter dance of my grade 8 year (this year), because I was trying to dance to with it but the stupid idiots called snowball and made us switch.
Anyways, this song is amazing. I love this part

that part makes me want to cry. It reminds me of an experience I...experienced. And that's all I have to say about the song |

I always interpereted it in the suicide view, but I also agree with the Christian interpretation of the song. I love this song so much, it's gotten me through so many tough times where i just felt so out of it, like I couldn't go on with anything anymore. It's a truly beautiful song. |

I love this song. I've loved the melody (I can't exactly tell what she's singing on my Anywhere But Home cd) and I finally looked up the lyrics today. I adore them. It reminds me of my low self-esteem, how I hate what I see when I look in the mirror. How I want to know what others see in me, because I'm not seeing it. I can relate to this song, and that's a reason I love it. |

Okay I heard this song on the Anywhere but Home cd, and didn't think much of it because I was doing other stuff while listening to it. Then I listened to it on the way back from my dad's house, and started to like it. I listened to it a few more times and got addicted to it. I found out on Neopets that it was a Korn cover (someone mentioned and I thought 'geez that sounds familiar' then I looked it up.) So i downloaded the Korn version. I honestly love both versions equally. I love the Evanescence version because I love Amy Lee's voice, and it's easier to blast it because it's hard to understand her singing live so my mom doesn't hear the swearing and stuff. I love the Korn version because it's awesome and it's loud. It's a perfect song. I blast it when I'm in a bad mood, the chorus reminds me of how I feel about someone. Anyways that's my 2 cents. |

I like this! It's a good song. It's also the only way you can get them to play Linkin Park at your school dance *mumble grumble* but I think the only way to listen to it is to watch the video on launch or watch the dvd of it, because it sounds better when they do it live. |

I love this song damn it. I'm sure my mother is very familiar with THIS one in particular because I blast it whenever I'm pissed at her. She's always poking fun at me, and I always feel like I'm just not good enough for her. So I just blast this one whenever it gets too much.
As for the whole "shut up when I'm talking to you!" bit- possibly one of my favourite parts of the whole entire song. It goes along with my whole mom thing because my mom talks way too much and I can hardly get a word in sideways, and when I do, it's something I already told her and forgot about it because she was talkin too much! |

KRWLNG. In my opinion, the only song on the entire Reanimation album that is equal to it's Hybrid Theory counterpart. My friend sent me Crawling, and i loved it. Then I bought Reanimation and heard Krwlng. To this day I still can not choose between them. The guy singing the chorus at the beginning. Beautiful. Sends chills down my spine. Him doing it behind Chester's vocals later is even more beautiful. |

This song. Mere words can not describe my love for it. To me, the song is about being depressed, insecure, etc. This song is just so beautiful to me. It helps me through any bad time I'm in, which happens to be often. I can just be sitting at my computer screen, reading something and then instantly feel like i wanna die. At which point I put on this song and feel so much better. Chester's vocals on this song blow me away, especially live. (I've been listening to Live in Texas.) And I'd probably say that my favourite part of the song (aside from Chester's amazing voice) is the sound of the drain...draining at the beginning and ending. It's become a comforting sound now, sometimes I will fill my sink with water and then just let it drain out to hear that sound.
I don't listen to Linkin Park because I think it makes me anything. The only thing it makes me is happier and less self-hating. I'm serious if you take away my Linkin Park, I would have a hard time making it through even a day. |

I do not like this song. I got into this song before I heard the original In the End, but once i got into the original, I realised how much I don't like this. I love everything about the original, the melody, the beat, the lyrics. They changed the melody and the beat quite a bit, and the only part of the song left exactly the same is the chorus. I regret forcing my class to listen to this now, because even I can't listen to this one anymore without making the XP face. I love the band, but I just do not like this remix. |
