you know hilly for a guy trying to sound smart you sure make yourself an ass. I listen to alot of music, including Nirvana and who are you to tell everyone who listen to Nirvan that they are weak, you dont have jack for shit facts and abunch of ranting oblivious opinions. Kurt Cobian was a weak person, but can you or anybody truely understand a mind like that? it's impossible. and such a complex mind gave him the ability to write descent music. I respect you not liking Nirvana, I used to hate them too acually, until I stopped being sucha tight ass and relaxed ( you should try it). and last, to wish death like that upon somebody is in-humain, you obviously dont value human life, i think Kurt wad fucked up...and deranged to a point, but didnt deserve sucha harsh sentence. please leave your stupid, short ended comments at home, or...if you need a place to put them, shove them up your ass.. peace |

yeah this is a great song, I love this album. and the meaning, not one of the deepest songs, but i will say it has becoem one of my favorites because of it's lyrics. I dont know how many " happy" songs there are on Mellon Collie but I'd sayu there arent nearly as many. peace |

people make way to much of a big deal about this, do you relize how many good people die everyday? Kurt Cobain was a musician, like anyother, who in the long run was killing himself the entire time. I love Nirvana, I cant get enought of the music. but I must say that you keep dreading on it like MTV and all those other teen pop outlets want you to. and if courtny did it, she did a damn good job and got away, almost to good. and i Kurt was suicidal, there is no denying that, there have been mutiple quotes of him wanting to kill himself and his new born child, but didnt because of the love between him and his wife. make sense? |

acaully scabster I watched a documentary where Roger Waters spoke( who created the wall) said that this song is acually about how school's shuffling students out as mass, instead of individuals. " thought control," is the teaching them to follow oders and work hard in life, not to become something you enjoy, like follow your dreams of becoming a artist. they just want to shuffle you out and make as much of a sucsess story outta you as possible. but missing the important factor which is, you must look at youth as fragile beings, and by ridacule ( by the teacher) can change their mind set completely. peace P.s. you can interpert anything in anyway you chose, it's all about how you look at it |

I would have to say " Something in the way" isnt about sex, it doesnt really push for it, but as being I poet I know that really everything you look at, it's all about perspective. and in Kurt Cobain's case, it's a " un-stable" one.
