I've met John Meridith. He's a genius, pure and simple. If the web site is still running, you can find his explainations for these incredible songs. Even the back stories read like poetry. Why'd you leave us so soon John? (This song's about a band he was kicked out of because the other guy thought he was too "arty". Looks like that ass needs to look up and live.) |

(This is a song about personal improvement and reinvention. You can pretend to be something your not, or you can stive to create a purer version of yourself. And though it may seem an up hill battle, there are allways memories of those who except you unconditionally where you can find comfort.) This is my favorite song of all time. The thing I love about Lagwagon is that their songs can mean so much to me under so many circumstances. They seem to evlove with me. now that i'm bored: NowThatImNumb |

You guys are on the right track. Let me say first my friends band recorded at Mat Talbots studio in Indiana, so this is third hand, but from the scource. This epic masterpiece is an endearing love song. However its a narrative of his own experience in the delivery room where he watched his son die shortly after delivery. He's wishing that his son could look back at him just to see him once, and one of you was right about the thin green line. Your all intuative people, give it a listen again and walk yourself through.
