you'll never know the meaning. it's a metaphor on top of a metaphor. a mystery wrapped in an enigman. elliott smith (bless his heart) did the same things (you know how he was heavily influenced by the beatles). it's a song about something (most likely yoko...) but the front is drugs. mother superior fix. etc etc etc. yoko's a drug for john. elliott wrote songs that were interpretted as songs about heroin addiction when he hadnt even tried it until later in his career. |

geroge kills the shit out of those other two fugs. geroge was a pushover. both john and paul had said in interviews that geroge was a better guitar player than the both of them. something is a perfect example of just how incredibly awesome george was. and his solo stuff is way way way way better. this song was inspired by a james brown song called 'something in the way she moves'. george was a big fan of re-writing songs. my sweet lord, for example, is a re-write of a gospel song. |
