To me, this song represents a committment - being able to work through problems (together regardless we'll walk through the darkness), never giving up on it (Still hanging on, still going strong, here I belong). there are a ton of different kinds of commitments - for me it was about remaining. i'm glad that i found this song when i did. "And maybe I'm crazy but at least I'm still around" makes me think about that someone may have gone through something extremely harsh - and may have a reputation for what he/she has done, but they still survived and made it through. the entire thing with "feels like the first day of my life" reminds me of a new beginning, being able to start anew. i hope that someone else out there was helped by this song the way it helped me ;) |

this is saying a lot, but i believe that this song may have given me a reason to live when i thought that my life was worthless about two years ago. it's about a girl with an eating disorder (I read the CD insert, the letter's on there) & I listened to the lyrics... and now looking back i am quite content to be living. |

this is my favorite song because dave is so passionate and the style is just so different from their other songs - i agree with steelbluerage that he's "bleeding his soul." i've been through rejection before - and i have also rejected... "And in this dream tell us are you satisfied with fucking " more is wanted out of a relationship that can be more physical than anything else - and it definetely is a bitter thing to let go. <3 |
