Great band, i recently seen them in concert. their performance of wasteland was f'n awesome. this song is about an addiction to somthing, possiably a drug. the needle dosen't have to represent heroin directly maybe just that he is facing the addict give in again. |

I think he's trying to convince someone not to kill themself by saying that it's hard but you can't leave in your "wake a trail of fear ". By throwing a "wrench in spokes by" means to face humanity like a man. Maybe someone hurt his friend and saying "not everyone is that fucked up and cold."
Great song, probably my favorite. |
