I think this song is referring to failed relationships in general, whether they're between a guy and a girl or just between friends. Sometimes you try so hard to keep a relationship alive but in the end it all goes to hell. "Watching the world fall on you I'm keeping my eyes closed"-- It hurts inside because you don't want to let go but you're coming to that harsh realization bit by bit. The way he keeps repeating, "It meant nothing to me" reminds me of how I feel when I want to believe something so badly. You want to believe that everything that happened meant nothing. "We shouldv'e seen this coming." If you're trying so hard, wasting so much time on your friend, you know things can't be going too well. You should've seen it coming. "This is the end." It's done and over and there's nothing that can be done about it. It's the end and you're hurting but you realize that and you've come to terms with it. I have no idea why it's called Razorblades, but it probably is like what pyrokinesis was saying-- helping out a friend whose hurting themself. Or maybe it's just describing that painful feeling of letting someone go. It's like sharp razorblades slowly cutting away at your insides. |

| I love this song... I love when he sings to Hailie 'cause you know that it's so real and he means it. Yeah, I respect that too- that everyone thinks hes such a bad evil person but he loves his daughter and hes not ashamed to sing about it or talk about it. It's like he's not trying to pretend that he's this big tough guy 'cause he knows that Hailie is his soft spot. | |

I doubt that what I'm about to say is the real meaning behind these lyrics, but this part of the song definitely shows how some people shut their eyes to who they really are, and they believe that if they avoid/ignore something long enough it'll really erase it from their memories and thoughts. "And try to escape into me."-- Because at the end of the day, this is the only place that is willing to give you refuge. |

This song, as soon as I heard it, reminded me of the Columbine Massacre. I know it's probably wrong to feel bad for people who take innocent lives, but I couldn't imagine what was going through these kids minds as they did what they did- that is, until I heard this song. On another note, it's about being alone, the odd man out. It's an awesome song, the lyrics are wrong he says, "The truth He gives in to most." |

| I think this song is about being different from the rest of society.... whether it's that the government wants us all to conform or on a personal level where you're being pressured to be like every one else... I think it's encouraging individuality and obviously promoting everyone's right to be themselves. | |

I agree with therealpunkmusic... I think people are trying so hard to be rebellious and walking around saying hey dont label me but all the while labeling themselves as some sort of outcasts. Anyhow, i think this song's discussing how things happen for a certain reason, and in the end you can't regret it because all of your lifes experiences (be they good or bad) have made you the person you are today. quite straightforward, didn't know Benji was in it but who cares? |
