Well I heard this today for the first time... Very weird to say the least. I can't really say I prefer they're older stuff more, because so far I've liked almost all their stuff (although Life Is Peachy is deffiantely my least favourite album). Along with Metallica, Korn are my favourite band. But what the hell do you people mean when you say 'Korn sold out'... Whenever a band changes their sound they're labelled as 'selling out'. Firstly, maybe they've changed their sound to be more 'popular' but think about it... Metal isn't "cool" or "popular"... RnB is, so that shoots down the theory of this song being made to be popular or a chart topper. Secondly, Maybe they just wanted to change their sound, just because it isn't as heavy doesn't mean they've "sold out" and you really wouldn't want to listen to them if every album sounded exactly the same! Thirdly, what the hell is "selling out"... even if they are writting music to become more popular and make more money... so what? If you have a job and can move to another job at a new company and earn more money... If you take that job, does that mean you've "sold out"... no it doesn't. They've changed their sound and I kind of like it, but will not really comment until the album comes out and I heard the rest. So face it, they've changed... get over it. |

Personally I love this song... I love Darrell and Zakk is an amazing musician as well. Should Pantera ever reform (though I think it better that they don't) even if just for a tribute to Darrell, Zakk would be the man to be on guitar. Anyway, I love this song. Very different for a BLS or Zakk Wylde song, but great none the less. It is basically a song about death and as has been said, it's a tribute to Dimebag Darrell Abbott. |

| Dope – Sick Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| this has nothing to do with what the song is about, but has anyone else noticed that the line 'BANG BANG BANG IN YOUR HEAD FUCKER' is 'bang bang bang on the door baby' from b-52's | |
| Dope – Everything Sucks Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I reckon this song is about accepting change. Everything in your life changes, including most likely the majority of your friends. It sucks, but it's going to happen. | |

| I love this song and I love the new album, I got my hands on the new album yesterday and it's brilliant! | |
| Metallica – Sad But True Lyrics | 20 years ago |

I think it's to do with the whole dealing with the 'evil' inside. To me it reminds me very much of the best movie of all time, Secret Window... Hey I'm your life I'm the one who takes you there hey I'm your life I'm the one who cares they they betray I'm your only true friend now they they'll betray I'm forever there Mort's wife betrayed him by cheating with another man and he soon left to live by himself, away from all others in his log cabin, but it forever was on his mind (I'm forever there) I'm your dream, make you real I'm your eyes when you must steal I'm your pain when you can't feel sad but true I'm your dream, mind astray I'm your eyes while you're away I'm your pain while you repay you know it's sad but true Mort becomes schitzofrenic, which this verse could quite easily be translated into meaning (I'm your eyes while you're away) While mort's second personality is in control, Mort is 'away' and is unaware of what's going on you you're my mask you're my cover, my shelter you you're my mask you're the one who's blamed do do my work do my dirty work, scapegoat do do my deeds for you're the one who's shamed Mort's dark side has been making him do horrible things which on one side he has wanted to do since his wife betrayed him, but it's not something anyone with a conscience can really do. hate I'm your hate I'm your hate when you want love pay pay the price pay, for nothing's fair hey I'm your life I'm the one who took you here hey I'm your life and I no longer care Morts dark side 'took' him to the place he needed to go to do what he did and his madness drove him to no longer care for those around him. I'm your dream, make you real I'm your eyes when you must steal I'm your pain when you can't feel sad but true I'm your truth, telling lies I'm your reasoned alibis I'm inside open your eyes I'm you Mort always had alibies as to where he was, and obviously being that he had the split personality he THOUGHT it was Shooter, who had been threatening him, he was telling lies to himself, he had viable alibies but in the end he opened his eyes to the numerous signs that this madman and all he had done was really mort, he then has a disscusion with himself telling himself to open his eyes and realise what the hell has been going on (I'm inside open your eyes I'm you) Mort's dark side has finally taken over and he finally does what he had wanted to do for so long, but could not bring himself to do so because after all that has happened he opens his eyes and realises what is happening. All that aside, I do NOT think the song is about schizofrenia (even though it very much reminds me of Secret Window) but merely saying, we all have voices in us, one that will say, yes do it, and one that will say no... this song is about the voice trying to make you do wrong. |

| Corporate Avenger – The Bible is Bullshit Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I should also add that... and think about this... if the concept of religion hadn't come about, lives would probably be much simpler then they are now. I'm not saying religions are bad, far from it, people need something to believe in, even people who aren't religious believe in something, we all need something to believe in, it just so happens that the very thing millions of people of all religions believe in is the one that that has killed more people then anything. | |
| Corporate Avenger – The Bible is Bullshit Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| To anyone who says the song is about saying there is no god or it's wrong to have beliefs and such. The use christianity as their main targeted religion because of their (the bands) background as cherokees. All they are basically saying is, these books were writting, preaching what should and should not be done. Telling us how to live our lives. Before that lives were lived simply, and sure there were battles and wars and such. But these books that preach the way we should live have probably been the cause of more wars then almost any other. Just look at Hitler. That all centered around race/religion. | |

| I've seen the edited and unedited version of the video... great video... great song... great band... great pornstar... | |
| HIM – Wicked Game (Chris Isaak cover) Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| you know, quiffporn... I just went to check your profile and I honestly have to say I thought you were a 13 year old or something... like I've said before in several threads... everyones entitled to an opinion, as are you, but how about you actually give REAL reasons for not liking them other than 'they're not talented' because they clearly are. | |
| HIM – Right Here In My Arms Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| F*cking hell quiffporn... I'm not gonna start an arguement with you, and I know you'll probably just think of some smart arse comeback and think you're a genius for it, but you honestly must be pathetic to spend so much time sitting here, writing about a band you don't like. Secondly, very little you say about the band is even half true, you obviously just don't like them, and (like one of my mates) if you don't like something, you'll just say it's shit and put shit on it simply because it's not something you personally like. You may not like HIM, but they are very talented as is ville valo. And Bam's 'homosexual crush/pedantic hero worship' is just bullshit, he likes the band, he got a tattoo to do with the band... he did something that 1000's of people all over the world do. Except in HIS case he has the ability to show lots of other people about them, in an Episode of CKY (or maybe 'viva la bam' i think it was) he had vallo on there... they're friends. So who cares if he promotes the band. If you actually want to make any valid points about the band I'll be more then willing the reply to them, but if you just write pure shit all the time then there isn't any point in wasting time on you. | |
| HIM – Buried Alive By Love Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I've only read half of this particular threat but I've got to say I'm all for quiffporn stating his opinion on HIM... he doesn't like them... oh well, who says he has to like them just to post on here? Personally I love him and I'm not a 14 year old girl, I'm a 19 year old guy and I'm into all sorts of music, mostly heavy s*** but I love pretty much anything except pop and dance s***. But the one thing I will say is quiffporn, we know you don't like them, but you don't need to say almost the same thing in every thread, I've only read 4 so far and it's the same thing in all of them. On the other hand, everyone else if you have a problem with it... just don't reply to him... Simple. As for this song, in short I think it's basically about loving someone who doesn't love you back. That's the short version anyway. |

| HIM – Gone With The Sin Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| lol, well this has been an interesting little convo between n0kturnaldoll and quiffporn... Anyways, HIM are an awesome band and I love this song. I don't really know what it's about, but it does basically seem to be about a woman he loves killing herself. Except for the interview which makes it sound like something else totally | |
| Nightwish – Nemo Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| The song while suggesting the comment about Captain Nemo, it's using that as a way to describe darkmongoose's comment about it standing for - nobody. | |
| Nightwish – Wish I Had an Angel Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I'm not a goth, I listen to everything but I love Nightwish and this is a great song. And hey, Tarja Turunen is HOT! | |
