| To me, the whole song is basically about a one night stand. "Hit and run" is just another term for a one night stand, if I'm not mistaken. Also the phrase "He used to be your victim, now you're not the only one" implies that she got pregnant afterwards. Which goes along with the title and chorus, "Accidents will Happen." | |

I agree with Chinup... These comments serve no purpose. Anyway, for the most part I agree with Chinup about the possible meaning of the song... Although, I think the third verse implies that he's stalking the girl who's, erm, watching the detectives, if that makes sense. For instance... "You think you're alone until you realize you're in it Now fear is here to stay, Love is here for a visit " Sounds like he showed up at her house, which is also implied by "Someone's scratching at the window. I wonder who is it?" Anyway, just my interpretation... |
