I can totally relate to what this song is saying, it's pretty much my exact feelings right now. Anyway, I think the song is pretty self explanitory but I'll give it a shot anyway. I think its about a guy being in a relationship with a girl that he's been with for a while and he's still kind of in love with her, but she doesn't mean nearly as much to him now, as she did, and I don't think he really loves her at all anymore but he can't tell her that he doesn't because hes not strong enough or he'll regret it or feel bad in the end. In the first verse, it's just saying that he tells her he loves her (but he doesn't mean it), then he touches her and realizes she doesn't mean what she used to, too him. In the second verse, I think it's saying how he went on vacation to California and he seen a hot girl and he's just comparing her with his girlfriend, like how she was beautiful but he didn't even know her so she didn't mean anything to him. In the third verse, I think it's saying that he's trying to convince himself that he loves her, and he tells all his friends that he loves her and when he's with her, he seems to love her a little bit, but he can't convince himself because he knows it's not true. Fourth verse is talking about hickeys and how they left marks and she probably told him once that she didn't want them to fade but he's saying that they obviously did fade and he kind of lost the feeling of being in love with her that day. In the fifth verse, he's saying dark clouds as in bad things, and with every day he pretends to love her, it gets worse and all he can see if problems and it not working out for them in the future. And she can tell that there's something wrong so she asks him and he wants to tell her so bad (that he doesn't love her anymore) but when she asks he just says nothing is wrong because he never thinks its a good time and he thinks he'll hurt her so everytime he just lets it go. Sixth verse is describing when he sees her and when he touches her and then she leaves and he has to pretend for another day, week, etc that he's still in love with her when he knows that he really isn't. And yeah, he's just saying that she's a beautiful person, there's nothing wrong with her, shes nice and stuff, but she just doesn't mean anything to him and he doesn't feel the same way about her as he may have before. |
