I don't think the upside down crucifix is so much to do with satanism but more to do with atheism - the upside down cross isn't just a satanic thing, it's more a symbol of 'no god' and as badcaseof murder pointed out Matt is a self confessed athiest. When bad things happen to you of to the ones that you love it's impossible to beleive that there is a god who would let these things happen si thats what it symbolises to me.
As for the above (faded exodus) i find your views interesting, no one i know of has ever come up with that conclusion, but i don't beleive it for a second. I'm still inclined to beleive that he's mourning the 'death' of a relationship, rather than a actual one. |
