| The Black Dahlia Murder – To You, Contortionist Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The Black Dahlia Murder isn't emocore. "What a horrible night to have a curse" is the only album that has songs that are even remotely emo lyrically. I think you could call anything emo though, since emo is short for emotional. If we were talking genre then I would say they are some variation of metal. The music, vocals, and most of the lyrics, aren't fitting to the emo genre. Genre's are stupid anyway, so who really cares? It's also hard to specify the genre of a band, because usually they have something to set them apart from the rest. When this happens even more sub genre's are created and it just gets pointless. The point is that they are an amazing band... | |
| The Black Dahlia Murder – Miasma Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The meaning has already been clearly stated. Although their lyrics aren't at their best in this song, the vocals and music alone make it their best song by far. The Black Dahlia Murder is possibly the best band in the genre. Their lyrical style, vocals, and music set them apart from other bands and it's a shame that more people don't know about them. Miasma is their best song on the album...and any album. | |
| The Movielife – Jamaica Next Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"Everything has changed for the worst." "I felt content to this." "Let down, betrayed, for what I gave." "Just leave and wipe the burn from my eyes." "When feelings that were meant to be told stand out in the cold." I think that's how the lyrics go. I also think it's something aside from "All the spots we waste..." smiles maybe... |

| Darkest Hour – Convalescence Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| csSk8man you almost ruined the song with your lame interpretation. If that is what Darkest Hour intended for the meaning to this song then I hate the band. I know you really wanted to sound metal and goth, but you just came off as a loser. | |

| Clearly you misread the title and web address of this site. It is SongMeanings not SongOpinions, so if you want to read complete shit then go somewhere else. People come here to either find out the meaning or tell others the meaning and obviously this song is not about God. There is no evidence to support such a claim and none was even provided by that user. I wouldn't have to be an ass if people didn't come here and post shit. It is about a relationship and that has already been established and proven. If you want to support his claims or back up these fucks, then why don't you find evidence that this song is about God? You know it is about a relationship, so obviously it is not necessary to have garbage posted about wrong meanings and stupid comments. | |

| From First to Last – Featuring Some Of Your Favorite Words Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I disagree...My Chemical Romance's new CD sucks and they sold out just to become more popular I think. That wouldn't be a bad thing, but it ruined everything I thought they had going for them. Their old songs have better lyrics and I like the sound better. I think they made songs like I'm Not Okay to have a spot on MTV. I thought the new CD was going to be great and for awhile I tried listening to it, but that shit is horrible. | |

Just in those words, it's almost as if he's saying "Shit, I can't think of something decent, original and thought-provoking, looks like I'll have to pull a Taking Back Sunday." Taking Back Sunday has original ideas and lyrically they are far better than From First To Last. From First To Last still rocks, but their lyrics aren't that great or original either. Half of the new songs and like all of the old ones are emo heart break girlfriend shit too. I don't care if a band chooses to be unoriginal with their lyrics as long as it sounds good and the lyrics they write are good. I'm sure Lurker just hates to admitt that main stream bands can be good too and that it's okay to like the lyrics. I hope you can still be scene enough and appreciate other bands too. |

Ummm, one more thing. I don't think this song is about a girl, I think it might be about GOD...they are a Christian Band Hahaha. You suck at finding the meaning of songs. Why do you even come to this site? i used to make the light shine for you the sun has left my sky He made the light shine for God? you're giving up on me (giving up on me) God gave up on him? i've laid myself to sleep tonight i know you've played out everything in your mind God plays out all their shit in his head? lol and now you throw it all away a shattered memory that you would stay through thick and thin with me Haha God gave up on him and threw away the relationship they had? how can i say i love you back? you never made me happy That doesn't sound very Christian. This song is about a girl. Actually, I think this song is about Satan, because it makes perfect sense. Let EarlyNov back up that statement for me, because he/she is good at it. |

Just read the lyrics, the song is definitely about something religious. Haha that comment was so stupid that I had to sign up for this site just to say that. You are retarded this song is clearly about a girl. Unless you think God is a backstabbing bitch this song isn't about him. "i'll slit my throat with the knife i pulled out of my spine" "if i can make myself believe, i'll give you back what you took away" I don't think God takes away from people. how can i ever stop you from crushing my soul? He doesn't crush souls Hey, go listen to Underoath or Zao because I heard their songs about girls. Get it because most are about GOD and they are Christian bands. |
