This song isn't about somebody dying that he loved, not at all. This song is about a love(hence the Valentines Day theme) that fell apart and the type of hopelesness that it has left in the person. He has fallen apart inside (my insides have turned to ash) and the clouds moving in closer but the wind keeps blowing simply means that dark times are ahead. At the end, he realizes he was wrong to let go of this relationship because the aloneness has destroyed him. Very beautiful song |

In my opinion this song ISN'T about a girl on drugs, but almost there. It's more or less about the shallowness of that type of young woman that invests in the wrong things in life and find themselves on the bottom end of things always. And in this song he's pretty much saying even though I wasn't good enough for this "PERFECT WORLD" of yours it'' eventually catch up to you too and when it does nothing can save you, not even all the drugs in the world. |

| I dont know what has happened to James as far as scenario wise for this song to be made but hes talking about whats called in spiritual teachings as the "pain body". The pain body is when some scenario comes up it can be as small as a simple thought, to a breakup, to someone dying and when its activated it takes alot of time to heal from it because it stresses you out. To me this song isnt about a guy stalking a woman, it's more than that. Its about a guy who hates himself dearly inside, who is very lost and hurt in life. So he starts to foolishly believe that his salvation and answer to his problems is a woman who will come into his world and take him away from all the pains, you can sense this from the line,"I exist through my need, to self ablige She is something in me, that i despise". Most people here have a good point that its about a guy whoes stalking a woman. But to me it's also more than that; I dont think this girl exists hence the "she isnt real". I think this is about a guy who is really emotionally hurt and he has invisioned his "salvation" in life in the image of a woman.
