"This is your blind spot...but it isn't" - Hindsight is 20/20 and it would be so easy to point out a timeline for the fall of man. "You cannot kickstart a dead horse...with your fingers you can touch me" - Theres no point in dwelling on what you can't change and it doesn't matter if the world ends tomorrow because I am here now and I’m real because you can touch me. "I'm you black swan, but I made it to the top" - Black swans are high-impact, hard-to-predict, and rare events that are beyond the realm of normal expectations. He’s referring to the human race as a black swan but even if we were just a random rare occurrence, being here alive now is living at the peak, or top, of human existance. "Be you black swan, I'm for spare parts, broken up" — Be yourself while simultaneously sharing yourself and growing by absorbing what other people have to offer. |

to me, this song really connects with my shyness. i was dating this girl and she would be annoyed at how i wouldn't talk a lot, like she wanted me to "mention something, mention anything" but i was content to "watch the weather change" and just enjoy the moment. And the title 'disposition' is a reference to how you would prefer to experience life. Now he's trying more to convince her that they should be together and now the line "can you be the one, can you see the sun with me" is more like him asking her to be with him because i feel the third verse of "I'm here and I will never go" is like him saying I'm not going to leave until your "with me", which is the last verse. |
