obviously no one has posted anything here in quite a while. this song is amazing, and altimate downer...besides for this bitter pill. and after going toa dashboard concert and hearing chris say "this is a song abouta girl...that i really dont like" while introducing screaming infedelities, you know he means every word he writes. "this ruined puzzle is bage with the pieces al face down" meaning this mess of a relationship has been turned upsidedown "thought the placing goes slowly the picture is anything other than its ment to be" meaning as hes slowly trying to fix things with this girl, its not really working out. i dont understand why this song is so confusing to some of you. this is not a mystery. he lost her, hes got nothing, he cant fix it, and hes wondering if he'll ever get her back. the realationships chris gets himself into are all puzzels, but hey, without these ruined puzzels...where would we find great, depressing, beautiful lyrics like dashboard's..? does he ever get the girl....? |

as much as we would all love to unravel robert and jimmy's words...it will never be done, you all can sit here and say what you think its about but all youre going to be able to do it pick out little pieces here and there but youll never be able to string it all together. they are amazing. the fathers of rock. they didnt need to go to california for anything, they had it all in their voices and in their guitars picks and drum sticks. |

| unless you are a true rock n roller, this song is useless to you. this song is too valuble, deep, and PERFECT to only said to be OK. sure you can hear the song and like it, but can you listen to it and feel it. not many people can. The Rain song is that the highest level of musicianship, no questions asks. This is beyond the regular song. It is one of my favorite Zeppelin songs. Respect the zepp, and listen and feel this piece of art, don't let it be just a "regular"....because it is far from that. | |
