I think it's a little more complicated than just Dave's thoughts on the war. It's sort of a "what if?" scenario, about terrorists taking over the US from within, and his call to arms to fight back. There's a lot going on in these lyrics that I'm not sure of yet, though. |

Wow, almost a year to the day. Spooky.
Anyway, I just found out that the MST3K ship is named after the Lou Reed song 'Satellite of Love', which this is actually a cover of. So never mind. |

Yeah, this is just an incredibly fun song. Always breaks me out of a bad mood. And in regards to Shaun of the Dead, the way they cut the action specifically to fit this song was just fantastic. |

Whenever I hear this song, I always think of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Primarily because the title and the name of the spaceship on the show share the same name. There are some other nods to the show in the lyrics, the entire first verse for example. But that's just my two cents. Thoughts? |

My dad's been a Neil Young Fan for years and years. And every time this comes on the radio, he always tells me that this song is a thickly veiled reference to UFOs. Thoughts? |

Yeah, guys. The entire first minute of this song is lifted directly from the opening of Day of the Dead. Great movie, btw. It's a great example of how Gorillaz took a simple riff and built onto it an entire song. Love it. |
