Anna, your interpretation is awesome. Exactly what I was thinking, but expressed better than I could express it. BZA, I totally agree with you as well, about how fun & full of energy this song is, but when you listen, it's really so sad. I particularly like the line, "you made me feel like the one...the one" - remembering that feeling of being special, & missing it. This song is amazing. My favourite song. Ever. |

'No loneliness, no misery is worth you' - I love this line. The whole song is about pain & loss, but in this line, she's saying that this person is more important than all the pain. (or maybe I'm way off the mark?) Could everyone PLEASE take their conspiracy theories somewhere else? No one here wants to hear about it. |

I LOVE this song. I think it's about being in love, and trying to be everything to get him to love you back. Trying to be perfect - trying to be 'the girl with the most cake' - until you don't know who you really are any more - 'I fake it so real I am beyond fake'. And wishing he felt about you what you feel for him - 'someday you will ache like I ache'. Who really cares whether the song was about Kurt. It's a fucking great song. |

Uh, kristy72, this is SongMeanings, not ghost story night at school camp. That's fucking stupid. I think some of you are taking the lyrics too literally - I don't think it's a song about murder. Like Have2mints said - I think it's about spousal abuse, especially with the line, 'my better half has bitten me'. 'I'm sleeping with the enemy, myself' shows that she (the subject of the song, Courtney Love or some other girl) blames herself in a way for what's happening to her. |
