I don't think this song is about relationships. To me, I think the song is about cutting, "Sometimes I think this cycle never ends" meaning that he is addicted to cutting himself. "we slide from top to bottom then we turn and climb again" Hes probably saying hes trying to get away from his problems but he keeps going back. "and it seems by the time that i have figured what it's worth the squeaking of our skin against the steel has gotten worse" Cutting himself. "but if i move my place in line i'll lose.
and i have waited, the anticipation's got me glued" meaning that hes addicted to cutting. "I am waiting for something to go wrong" so he can have a reason to cut himself. "and i am waiting for that sense of relief
i am waiting for you to flee the scene" I'm guessing he enjoys cutting and it makes him feel better. |
