I think that the song is what happens when you break up with someone.. and you see them after awhile and they moved on so completely that they have to "try to remember your name." It's basically a break up song, at least to me... |

| the song means something different to everyone, based on their own experiences or the mood that they are in when they listen. it could be that it isnt about being away from the person that you love, but to me thats what it is exactly. I heard this song for the first time on New Years day, right after my boyfriend broke up with me because of distance. so thats what i equate it with. probably too much information, but the song means basically this to me; the new year has come, and it will go, but it doesnt change how you feel, and things dont always work out like they did "back in the old days" sorta like fairy tales (way back when the world was flat). but it isnt a problem with an easy solution... this may not make anysense... ooops. | |

To me, the song is about how someone was in a relationship with someone and they broke up, and everytime that they see their ex, they fall a little bit back in love. IDK, could just be me, but this song is exactly how it feels when someone breaks up with you. |
