The song is about the suicide of a friend. Adam seems to be a strong, charismatic, jovial type guy. The kind of guy everyone loves, and the singer really looked up to, so it's unbelievable that Adam would just commit suicide, so he realizes that it wasn't as simple as everyone makes it out to be. It wasn't that Adam just decided to kill himself, it was that he fell under the weight of life and pain. And it's leaving everyone else to try to figure out if they can make it. |
