I dont know man. I could see this 'ghost' in different angles.
ghost in the literal sense so his past lover passed away and he's trying to get over her whilst starting a new rship.
A lot of you mentioned about just ghost being past relationships and what that entails when pertaining to the heart.
I think another way to look at it (and this strikes me personally) is that the ghost is all the good times with those who were before the present relationship. it may have turned sour later on in life but still the memories of the good times still linger and u still wonder wad happen to that relationship while trying to start a new one |

i hate admitting this but i was sort of introduced to this song by my sis. she was playing it on the computer and i couldnt help but listen since it was in the room. the lyrics are just so sweet. talking about loving someone even when they screwup or get embarassed cos you saw a part of them they didnt wanna show you. i guess especially when you're starting a relationship. but really at the end of the day they'll get to know all of you and the real ones stay one and just love you for even the silly things; and i think that really counts. |

the song is basically clearcut- explaining the whole circle of life and how upbringing does play a part of our future. the way parents bring a kid up defines how its gonna be like for the kid in years to come. no matter how hard we try to keep a mental note on what we will or will not do to OUR kids, whenever OUR parents do something we feel they shouldnt have, the fact of the matter is that you cant too be sure that it wont be repeated. whenever i talk to my ma over something i felt she did wrong, esp towards my baby sis, she usually confides and say that sometimes she doesnt know what to do, afterall she was brought up in a way stricter way. see, even when you wanna do things differently than your own parents its just hard to do cos you dont have a model to follow after! |

i was introduced to this song a few days before my grandfather pass away. i dare say he was the only grandparent i really got to know (most of em were either distant or long gone before i entered the world) and well i guess it was a really good song to cry out to. esp in a chinese community, where ppl dont usually show their emotions that publicly, it can get heartranching just feeling at such a lost. not forgetting the fact that he was the first death experience i had so to speak.. |
