My Chemical Romance – The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You Lyrics 20 years ago
Do you think the lines:
"Pull the plug.
But I'd like to learn your name.
And holding on.
Well I hope you do the same.
Awww sugar.
Slip into this tragedy you've spun this chamber dry."
Could have something to do with an OD?
Pull the plug is something you'd relate to life support, same with holding on and hoping the other person would do the same.

I think the chorus:
"Alright
Give up
Get down. It's just the hardest part of living.
Alright
She wants
It all to come down this time."
is about the cops busting them for drugs, give up, get down, sounds like the part of the movie where they race in with guns...This fits in with a line coming into the chorus about the cops coming. The hotel is definitely, I think, an analagy for being high.

Scribe – Stop The Music Lyrics 20 years ago
It's hard to find the actual lyrics to this song...There are so many conflicting sites..Great song though, I can't believe I'd ever say that about any hiphop song.

One Minute Silence – Brainspiller Lyrics 21 years ago
this song is definitely about tv and how violent something like a news report has gotten, and how this entertains people.

Channel X -- the best in family entertainment.

The notorious Brainspiller was today captured
after a four hour showdown with police,
leaving twenty-seven police officers and all nineteen hostages,
dead.

Channel X is proud to present,

Dial 1.. for live executions,
For live executions.

Gwen Stefani – What You Waiting For? Lyrics 21 years ago
When i listened to this song and saw the clip for the first time i obviously noticed the "alice in wonderland" style of the video clip, but also i noticed the Japanese girls that Gwen seemed to be in competition with. It really got me thinking...what is the significance of the Japanese girls? I don't think i've truely worked it out yet, but i think it has to do with the massive fan base that some people get in Japan. Normally i would never listen to this sort of pop song, but the meaning behind the video just intrigued me. Normally i listen to metal, which got me thinking about my favourite bands, and how they love Tokyo so much because of the massive crowds and great fans. Maybe i'm on the wrong track in thinking that Gwen is criticizing people with big Tokyo fan bases, maybe i'm right, i dunno, but thats what this video clip means to me.
