I'm not 100% sure but I think this song is about Betty. Con said Betty was a girl at his school that "something happened to". Suicide is what the "something" like is becuase that's a cardinal sin and she would need prayers to help her get out of hell for it. I think whichever band member wrote it either tried to help her or was dealing with guilt over not noticing she needed help before she killed herself. |

The title of this is just Fucked Up World. I think this song is about sex with an ex. She came back (a trip to lost and found) for the one last time (I wanna move you one more time )and it brough back the pain of the breakup which he is offering to show her in his music (Chorus) and ultimatly left him feeling that the realtionship had really died (Where did we go?

The first time I heard this song my best friend (of 4 years) was about to go to basic training. I don't know if I realised how I felt about him until I heard it-- I think i just hadn't put the words to the feeling becuase I was crazy about him. I could see him, walking towards me, the feeling seeing him gave me filling me, then us just standing there then getting on the bus to leave. I thought I would die from how sad it made me to not have something more than a stare. I managed to tell him because of this song. He felt the same! We actually got married less than a week later (and still are! 3 years!!!) I wrote it out for him and he kept it with him in basic to remember that he had me at home and how long we waited to say it. |

This song makes me think of the chapter in the Silmarillion, Of Beren and Luthien. Beren was a human who heard the Elf maiden Luthien singing. He called her the Elven word for Nightingale, Tinúviel. Her father did not approve of thier love ans sent Beren after a Simaril from the crown of Morgoth. Beren nearly died, but he retrieved it and married Luthien.

I think this song is about thinking you are in love and finding out you never were. This person you thought you were crazy about isn't what you thought. You break up and you regret the way it happened. Ironically, I heard this for the first time a week before my boyfriend at the time told me "I am of the sky and you are of the earth and that's our problem." That does flavor my meaning for it. |

I really connected with this song and band. One of my friends introduced me to this song to tell me what he used to feel when I had boyfriends who dictated everything I did by dragging me down and making me think I wasn't worth thier time. He was like the one singing, he wanted to help but I couldn't see that. The first guy who abused me left a hole in me that only someone who could control me and make me do right could fill. The payment was the boyfriends' suffering. To me they were the ones paying because I was so stupid and needed them to tell me everything which must take a toll on them. It was all about keeping upi the apperance of perfection, which would have killed me if someone hadn't intervened and made me see it. |
