i loved this song the first time i heard it. its one of the best songs to fall asleep to. but now im in a situation like in the song and it has a whole new meaning and deepness."You live too far away your voice rings like a bell anyway" that means that just because there is distance between them it dosent mean he isnt thinking about her all the time "you ought to know what brings me here you glide through my head blind to fear and I know why whoa, amber is the color of your energy whoa, shades of gold displayed naturally" this is saying that her energy is so warm and pure and he loves her because of it and he is not afraid of what she will do or the distance between them because he feels she loves him just as much and he will go the extra mile to be with her "don't give up your independence unless it feels so right nothing good comes easily sometimes you gotta fight" he is telling her dont do what you dont want and it is hard for them to be together considering the distance and i think he is saying that maybe she is scared because of all the temptaions of being in a band and being on the road might scare her but if she fights her fears everything will be ok. it seems like a long distance love song but i think it is talking about being in love and being on tour. but thats just my opinion i might be wrong but that is what i feel and i stand behind |
