| My exboyfriend insisted I put this song on a cd I burned. It almost makes me feel sad for him. He often took me for granted and I guess he didn't realize what he was missing until I ended it. Hmm.. Lovely song. | |

Is it strange that this reminds me of zombie movies? the world falls apart, in just seven days it sinks to the bottom, in oceans of rain the cure is so clear, the blood is astray and everyone dies, except for the rain ...and i think that i'm starting to scare myself Just that part though. :D Everybody dies and the blood is astray. Makes me think of a world where everything has died and everything is silent except for the falling rain. Creepy zombie movie scene. O_o Okay, I'll stop now. |

| *blinks at comments above* Anyway, I enjoy this song, I enjoy annoying the living daylights out of friends by playing it constantly. It's a good 'dance like a moron in your bedroom' song as well as a good 'making art' song. :) | |

This probably isn't right but these are the thoughts that have always come to my mind as I've listened to the song. "Are you going to live your life wondering standing in the back, looking around? are you going to waste your time thinking how you've grown up or how you missed out? things are never going be the way you want where's it going to get you acting serious? " things are never going to be quite what you want even at twenty five you got to start sometime. Talking to a girl, he wants to bring her out of the sheltered life she's lived. He's telling her things are never going to be perfect or 'quite what you want' and so you should have fun and go for your dreams. If you don't do something now you'll miss out. "I'm on my feet, i'm on the floor, i'm good to go. and all I need is just to hear a song i know. i wanna always feel like part of this was mine i wanna fall in love tonight." He begins to like this girl and is ready to go, or to 'fall in love'. He wants to hear a song he knows so he has something to connect with, something that will always remind him. He wants to be with her and fall in love tonight. "Crimson and clover over and over crimson and clover over and over our house in the middle of the street why did we ever meet? started my rock 'n roll fantasy don't don't, don't let's start why did we ever part? kick start my rock 'n rollin' heart." In my mind 'crimson' makes me think of blood (as in losing virginity) and 'clover' makes me think of cigarettes (smoking afterwards). Then he goes on to ask how did this ever start? He wants to fall in love and 'kickstart his rock and roll dreams' (give him the ability to write something worth while.) Like I said, not the correct interpretation, but my mind likes to put together little stories while listening to music and I thought this song was sweet. A story of a girl giving up her virginity and a guy that wants to show her the world and fall in love and become a rockstar. |
