U2 – I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For Lyrics 21 years ago
a friend told me he likes to think of it as, on his spiritual journey, he may have chosen Christ (or Christ chose him) but on this earth, in this life, he still hasn't found what he's looking for: Heaven. I think that's pretty cool. re: belteshazzar's blog, you can find more without going to a Charismatic Church, just make sure they base their truth on the Bible.

Great song, great album, fairweather fans hate POP.
I love how you can't find the groove the first few times you hear it but over the course of 2 minutes the instruments drip in, and then after the 'car chase' solo (which Sounds like a car chase) the drums kick in and that crazy loop drops out, I Love it.

U2 – City of Blinding Lights Lyrics 21 years ago
I mentioned in a review on All because of you, the coolness of songs being able to be taken different ways and I think that artists may intentionally craft them that way. The song might be specifically about NYC, but it's nice to have the chorus "o, you look so beautiful tonight" because I can sing that to my wife, or the tune comes to mind when I think of entering heaven for the first time, a City of truly blinding lights. If it were too specific you couldn't sing it with other meanings: "Oh, down-town looks ex-tra clean tonight" wouldn't cut it.
Padmewan, dang, ...you're smart I think Bono would know what it meant after reading your review

U2 – All Because of You Lyrics 21 years ago
no, i kinda thought the same thing about tor-toyce. granted I hold Bono in high artistic esteem, so I "delved deeply" too, thinking "maybe he Did think about that for 5 years before they recorded it. I tend to think the lyrics were chosen to address the I AM found in Exodus, but think they wanted it to be able to address more people too. Songs that address more than idea or person...are cooler. (like "City of Blinding Lights": I sing it to the stars And to my wife And to downtown Atlanta AND thinking about heaven)
