As for ReverendTM....honestly...I don't feel the need to give you a counter-argument. As a law student it would be easy and probably productive. As a university student though I am dismayed at the amount of time you've spent writing on this board. Regardless of where and when you wrote it, I am going to spare you a counter-argument so you can spend some of that time going out and seeing what the world is like outside of your own ignorance and ego. Go see if you can find some girl who is dumb enough to get with you for a bit and prove to us all that your repressed homosexuality is just a myth... |

This is a song that will permeate the lives of many for generations to come. The poetic ramblings of Tom Green speak volumes to the angst-ridden youth in today's society. I think Tom is addressing not only his own quarrels with life but also attempting to reach out and touch those who are in similar situations. This song means everything to me and I think it is truly beautiful. I plan on having it played when I walk down the aisle at my wedding. |

I'm pretty sure that one is right up there with "Italians all love meatballs" and "Everyone in Tennesee lives in a mobile home".

Rather than reply to what you wrote specifically to me, I just have a question. If you are so sure of yourself and so proud, why did you feel the need to write a 2000 word essay on how you're right so you could win an argument on a website dedicated to songmeanings? I mean, you don't really listen to what people have to say and are stuck in your own stubborn definitions of things. I mean, you feel the need to supposedly keep score for yourself in these meaningless arguments. All I can say is, your repressed anger may or may not be from homosexual encounters (although the derogatory terms you use to attack both people of different races and homosexuals alike suggests that you are likely not only homophobic but also racist, or possibly afflicted by homosexuality and a racial inferiority complex) but your anger clearly stems from a massive inferiority complex of some sort which requires you to attempt to force your views on the world on other users of the "Like Toy Soldiers" section of songmeanings.net.
Keep racking those points up for 'winning' the arguments that you are supposedly having, and I hope that those points help you make up for the fact that you have no life. |

Anyways, I was wondering if any of you know the significance of the comments regarding the receptionist at the source? I understand the rest of the song (and its definitely suge... pronounced 'shug' for those of you still questioning it) but I am still lost at the source reference.
