I thought the song waas about jesus and the time that he walked on the earth. "If you die will i get word that you're gone Or will i hear it in passing conversation " I thought that just meant, when he died would someone tell his story. Will anyone remember him and see what happened to him? "Hold my hand just one more time, to see if you're really gonna need me" That is Jesus asking, just show me that you with think of me, and if I come back, you will remember me.
